Our holiday home, "Haus der Weichsel" is located in the heart of the Swabian Danube Valley in Bavaria, in one of the most valuable habitats in Southern Germany. This internationally significant natural area provides a habitat for a multitude of animals and plants, making this region even more precious. The Danube Cycle Path, the premium hiking trail DonAuwald, the proximity to Legoland theme park, the Steiff Museum, and the Pfannental recreation area are just a few of the special features of the region. Here you will find the ideal place to relax and unwind.
This holiday home is a lovingly renovated property with a 1930s design, combining the charm of bygone eras with modern comforts. It offers ample space for the whole family and has been furnished with great attention to detail. Enjoy the warm atmosphere of the house and relax in the spacious garden with a barbecue area and lounge. The generous sauna invites you to unwind and recharge after an active day.
Perfect Location for Exciting Excursions
The small village of Veitriedhausen is the ideal starting point for numerous excursions. Legoland, the Steiff Museum, and many exciting nature experiences await you in the immediate vicinity. Hikers and cyclists will find a true paradise – the Weichselallee trail begins right on your doorstep, winding through the idyllic Pfannental valley. Culture enthusiasts will also find plenty to discover – from medieval towns like Günzburg and Nördlingen to the region's remarkable caves.

The House offers the perfect setting for a relaxing stay with three bedrooms, a cozy living room, a well-equipped eat-in kitchen, and a modern bathroom with a sauna. Whether for a short weekend getaway or a longer vacation, here you can completely unwind and leave the daily grind behind. The sauna in the bathroom area is available for your use free of charge. Please bring your own bathrobe.

What does "House of the Weichsel" mean?
The Weichsel is a sour cherry variety originating from the district of Dillingen an der Donau. This variety was first mentioned by name in 1807. With its wonderfully fruity acidity and delicious aroma, the Weichsel has delighted people in the district for many decades.
